Blanket, now that's funny. I downloaded that episode of south Park.
Well to many loyal readers here his attendance of the Kingdom Hall in Solvang wasn't new as I reported it right when it happened. I was met with skepticism as how could a freedom fighting rebel like me from Southern Mexico possibly know what is going on in lily white Solvang / Santa Ynez?
He has been going to most Sunday meetings since the memorial however I haven't chatted with any friends in the solvang cong. to see if he's been there the past few weeks. Been doing road trips in Mexico, seein friends, etc.

Michael Jackson stuff
by Mulan inwhile cleaning cupboards today, i had court tv on in the other room, listening to the commentary about the mj trial.. i was pretty surprised when they started talking about his going back to jehovah's witnesses and that he had taken his children to a kingdom hall in solvang (near where he lives) around easter time.
so it was for the memorial.
they said that since then, he has been attending pretty regularly with his kids, but that because he is disfellowshipped (and they had this information correct, saying he wrote a letter disassociating himself many years ago, but that he is technically disfellowshipped) no one will talk to him.. so, is he trying to make a comeback?

Frightening experiences
by greendawn inmy most frightening experience occured about 12 years as i was driving in a safari park with wild animals like tigers around.
there was suddenly a very loud explosion under the bonnet and that really frightened me and my two passengers, if there is to be a fire what do we do with tigers outside?
fortunately it soon became clear that there was no fire only a lot steam came gushing out, the cooling system had over heated and a pipe got burst asunder .

I'd say its a tie.
6 black guys surrounding me and wanting to rob me in Havana and no cop on the street corner. I escaped with my money.
Also scuba diving in a hurricane and barely making it back. Kicking underwater and being swept backwards very fast and having to claw in the sand at the bottom to make progress. -

I wish. I came upon 5 sharks in Jamaica. Now I have an underwater camera so I won't miss anything.
I've seen alot however sharks are still a treat. So are mermaids. I have yet to see one. I've done a few hundred dives, many as the guide. Fun stuff. -

by Smoky ini have been told recently that jw brothers and sisters, plan jw singles cruises.
could this be true?

I'm not a cruise ship fan but thats just becuase I've come close to killing hundreds of cruise ship passengers who like to step in front of my car. I lived on an island and you'd think I was Dr. Kevorkian.... like they wanted to die. No, just people don't look the proper way when used to life in the US and going somewhere where we drive on the left side.
I've been invited on many witness cruises but some of the organizers were bizarre, geeky and some fell out of a 300 foot ugly tree and must have hit every branch falling down. lol
Plus I can be a very bad man.... that feels oh so good and why have tattlers there?

Car Wash Guilt Complex!!!
by prophecor indon't you feel terrible when you take your car to the car wash?
the folks who wash your car, immigrants, illegal aliens, and they work so hard and are always there, the same people dilligently washing your filthy car.
are they not some of hardest working people in america?

Don't worry, give it a generation and their kids will be fatties wearing baggy clothes (with Raiders logos) and robbing you at gunpoint. That's the american way, no? Their kids will forget the sacrifices made by their parents and will be demanding government jobs (County, DMV, etc.) with many paid holiday where they can stuff their faces with Burger King whilst on break and watch the clock until its quittin time all the while telling you that whatever your request it, it isn't in their job description.

Who has been caught by the cops,,,,
by kls indoing the nasty in a car .
i was twice ,even with the windows all steamy they still knew ,,,,,,,,,,i wonder how?

Never been caught but one night we were on patrol in an isolated area. Running lights off and saw a car. Windows fogged up and car bouncing.
We rolled up and turned on the flashers and spotlights. We were tryin not to laugh. Two kids jumped out all sweaty. Told them to get a room. lol
Not like we were bein pervs but wanted to make sure all was well and consensual due to the secluded nature of the area. We didn't see much due to the fogged up windows but they probably dropped a load in their mpants goin from pitch black to lights flashin and spotlights on them and two people outside their vehicle. -

Guns and JWs
by VM44 indid the watchtower society ban jw's from owning handguns for self defence?.
if they did, when did they issue the ban?.
didn't some of jesus's apostles carry a sword when the group traveled, to protect agains wild animals and human thieves?

At one time I had up to 30 guns. It was kept on the down low as some witnesses had problems with it. I was a firearms instructor and kept my guns in a locked vault.
I don't need them for self defence as I prefer to live in affluent areas.
A gun is a tool. You can misuse any tool and harm others. If someone broke into my home, I'd probably throw on my level IIIA vest and beat the crap out of them. If they were armed, they better aim for the head. It would take time to get my guns out of the safe and load them. Also there are children around so no guns or ammo are left out of the safe.
The US is a violent country. Banning guns won't work. Things are getting worse. Pretty soon I'll be in Mexico full time. I'll miss my handguns but I'm sure a permit to have them can be bought in case I go to DF and someone tries to carjack me. They can eat my .45 slugs from my Sig Sauer P220. -

Do U Drive @ 55?
by prophecor inwho among us here, when on the freeway does the standard speed of 55mph.
i'd like to say that i'm a law abiding citizen, however......
it's a wonderful thing that many folks wish to follow the rules of the road but you people who don't keep it rolling with the rest of the crowd at 65-70mph are risking a catastrophe.

In Mexico they have things to slow you down. Topes (speed bumps) and many times in small towns they are not marked. They will destroy your car if you drive fast over them. Many times there will be an open stretch of road and at night no lights. If you speed, then plan on thousands of dollars worth of damage.
The other thing is Mexican freeways at night. Mainly livestock worries. I almost hit 3 cows at 3.45am leaving Guadalajara the other week. I know on the road to my one home, there are always horses and cows in the road at all hours so I drive cautiously.
Never saw livestock on the cutoa highways (toll roads) and they were also marked so you could see the road with your lights on versus the average Mexican highway at night resembling the black hole. -

Please share your Quick Build Experiences here...
by jeanniebeanz in.
many of us have shared in these projects, and honestly, some of my best and worst memories of the 'friends' were had at these crazy events.
will you please share some of your experiences at quick builds?.

I worked on an international quickbuild whilst living out of the US. It was fun, the head elders were kind of whacked but the other that flew in to help were cool. I showed them around and we had a good time.
I also had too much fun with one elder's daughter in a house full of sleeping elders. Oh the thrill. lol
I didn 't do manual labour but just did errands as I knew all the roads and had a car, something which many witnesses didn't have, especially the visiting brothers.
